DLA Piper advises Azets in connection with acquisition from KPMG

DLA Piper advises Azets, one of the largest tech-enabled providers of professional advisory, financial and accounting services globally, on its acquisition of KPMG Sweden’s business focused on audit, advisory and tax services for SMEs as well as audit and audit-related services for municipalities and regions. 

A total of approximately 270 employees will join Azets on completion, doubling the size of Azets' Swedish business to SEK 1 billion. The transaction is expected to complete during summer 2025. 

The DLA Piper team, led by responsible partner Mathias Berggren and managing associate Erik Klevbo, consists mainly of Johan Zetterström and Cornelia Lundberg (employment), Erik Brändt Öfverholm, Hanna Medelius and Linnea Wernheim (Regulatory) as well as Beatrice Rist (IPT).
