DLA Piper has advised Stillfront Group AB (publ), a global group of gaming studios and a market leader in the free-to-play online strategy games genre, in connection with its acquisition of KIXEYE, Inc, for an initial consideration of USD 90 million on a cash free debt free basis. KIXEYE, Inc is a leading developer and publisher of online strategy games headquartered in Canada with operations in the US, Canada, Vietnam and Australia. The acquisition was carried out through a reverse triangular merger where part of the business was divested in connection with the transaction.

The DLA Piper team comprised lawyers across Sweden, the US, Canada and Australia. The team was lead by Stockholm based Peter Ihrfelt, Peder Grandinson and Anna Berntorp, together with Vancouver Brian Hiebert, Antony Cortese, US based Tami Howie, Rick Marks, Kristen Bandura, Charles Bell and Nia Brown, as well as Australia based Melinda Upton, Chris Vale and Alexandra Dagger.
