Competition law in focus

The law firm DLA Piper welcomes Erik Brändt Öfverholm as a new partner from 1 March 2021. Erik's broad and solid experience in competition law further strengthens DLA Piper's position as Sweden's leading global full service agency. 

With great commitment and success, Erik has, for almost four years, now led and developed Baker McKenzie's competition and procurement group in Stockholm. At DLA Piper, Erik takes a step into the circle of partners and looks forward to further developing the business together with his new colleagues.

In addition to his previous role at Baker McKenzie, Erik has experience from the EU and competition law group at the law firm Lindahl and from the Swedish Competition Authority. Erik has a strong profile in competition law. He is hired as a speaker in the legal field and has, among other things, been seen in the media debate regarding cloud services. 

—  Competition law has become increasingly important in corporate transactions and strategic advice at an early stage has become increasingly common. Competition law has had a special focus on the tech sector in recent years and I believe that this focus will continue to increase, both from Swedish and international authorities, says Erik.
