DLA Piper advises Kustom on acquisition of Vipps MobilePay Checkout

DLA Piper has advised Kustom on its acquisition of Vipps MobilePay Checkout in a cross-border transaction valued at up to NOK 490 million. The acquisition adds up to 3,000 merchants and a transaction volume exceeding NOK 7 billion to Kustom's platform, and is accompanied by a strategic distribution partnership under which Kustom becomes the recommended checkout partner for Vipps MobilePay, further cementing Kustom's leading position in the Nordic checkout market.

The mandate marks DLA Piper's second major engagement for Kustom, having previously advised the company on its capital raise and strategic partnership with Resurs.

The transaction is the latest in a series of complex fintech and technology M&A mandates for DLA Piper in the Nordic market, and a further testament to the firm's deep expertise across the fintech and technology sectors and its track record in high-profile cross-border deals in the region.
