DLA Piper has advised Blisce in connection with their investment in evroc AB. The investment round was led by Blisce and also included existing investors EQT Ventures and Norrsken.

In connection with the investment round, the company will raise a total of approximately EUR 55.5 million, of which approximately EUR 42.3 million was raised in the ‘first closing’ that has now been completed. Blisce is an investment firm based in New York, and Paris, that has previously invested in Spotify, Pinterest, Headspace, and Too Good To Go, among others.

evroc aims to build Europe's largest green cloud platform and plans to build several large data centres in Europe in a sustainable way. The focus is ‘Europe’ and not handling data outside Europe's borders. The company's competitors include Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.

evroc was founded by Mattias Åström, one of Sweden's most successful serial entrepreneurs over the past decade with successful sales of his companies to Apple, Nokia and Schneider Electric.

The team mainly consisted of: Mikael Moreira, Erik Rosberg and Karolin Bergström (Corporate), Astrid Bohlin and Jennie Nilsson (Data Protection), Johan Zetterström, Lisa Brink and Cornelia Lundberg (Employment), Josefine Mannerfelt and Gustav Lundin (IPT).
