DLA Piper has advised EQT Ventures on its investment in Heart Aerospace
DLA Piper has advised EQT Ventures on its recent investment in Heart Aerospace, a company with headquarters in Gothenburg that develops and manufactures hybrid-electric airplanes. The Company successfully raised approximately USD 107 million in funding with the participation from EQT Ventures, Bill Gate's Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Lower Carbon.
Heart Aerospace intends to use the funds to further build its business and make progress toward type certification of the company’s first hybrid-electric airplane, the ES-30. The ES-30 is a regional airplane with a seating capacity of 30 passengers that offers lower emissions, lower noise pollution and lower operating costs on short haul routes than current conventionally fueled airplanes.
The DLA Piper team consisted mainly of Mikael Moreira, Erik Rosberg, Fanny Lidström, Gustav Säde, Johan Zetterström, Sanna Lindgren, Mats Eriksson, Oskar Fröberg, Lovisa Wennerberg, Gustav Lundin, Jessika Roos Enkvist, Josefine Mannerfelt, Jennie Nilsson, Louise Oreb, Astrid Bohlin, Carl Schwieler, Felicia Lindstrand and Erik Hellem from DLA Piper in Sweden, and Cara Hupprich, Jeff Lehrer, Lucien White, Isabel DeObaldia, Julia Kovacs from DLA Piper in the US.
