Breakfast Discussion on US Venture Capital Practice. This event will comprise a breakfast presentation and open discussion focusing on venture capital investing, broadly, covering recent trends in US venture capital, impacts of macro-economic conditions, evolving best practices, issues affecting non-US investors (including CFIUS and related regimes), and key differences in norms, standards and approaches in venture practice within the US and versus Nordic practices.

Speakers:

Ian Hlatky, Partner (Los Angeles); US Emerging Growth and Venture Capital. Ian specializes in representing venture capital and corporate venture capital clients within and outside the US in connection with investments into high-growth, US companies across market sectors, including Microsoft, SoftBank, Danone, General Electric, Hanwha, Mirabaud, Michelin, BitKraft, Creative Artists Agency, Lotus Bakeries, LA Dodgers, HTL Biotechnology, and more. Ian also serves outside general counsel to venture backed company clients throughout the US.

Mikael Moreira, Partner (Stockholm); Mikael represents numerous private equity and venture capital funds in a variety of M&A and investment transactions and have lead transactions in Sweden, across Europe and in the US. He also represents a wide variety of emerging growth companies and global technology companies from internet, mobile, software, e-commerce, services and cloud related industries.
