Miljana Bigovic

Miljana Bigović is a Managing Associate in DLA Piper's Dispute Resolution practice in Stockholm, focusing on complex international arbitration and cross-border disputes. She represents multinational corporations, financial institutions and investors in high-value arbitrations under SCC, ICC, ICSID and other institutional rules, with particular experience across the energy, construction, real estate and international trade sectors. Her experience spans disputes ranging from several million dollars to over USD 1 billion, including some of the most significant international arbitrations conducted in the Nordic region.

Miljana combines extensive international arbitration experience with a distinguished international profile. She holds LL.M. degrees from Harvard Law School, Stockholm University and the University of Novi Sad, where she graduated first in her class and was named University Valedictorian. Prior to joining DLA Piper, she worked with the international arbitration team at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr in London and completed a secondment with DLA Piper's arbitration practice in Paris. A recognized thought leader in international dispute resolution, she regularly speaks at leading conferences across Europe, Asia and North America, lectures on arbitration and advocacy, publishes on developments in international arbitration, and served as President of Harvard's International Arbitration Association (HIALSA).
